Morgan appeared in a documentary clip Safe Sex for Men and Women about AIDS education and prevention. A portion of the profits was donated towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the chief fundraiser for other initiatives and gave a testimony to a special Congressional panel on AIDS awareness. Morgan is a member of the Board of Governors of APLA. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has requested her to fill in for him during AIDS celebrations and she's been the host of an AIDS Awareness Special together with news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell asked her to be on two occasions on Nightline with regard to AIDS. Morgan was awarded one Emmy award for Diane English's special Murphy Brown episode that was written just for Morgan. In spring, she was a guest alongside Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. She then started the summer with Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. The show also starred Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. In her next role, Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan played a part in the psychological thriller made exclusively for the USA Network garnering one of the most impressive ratings in the history of the network.
